I'm writing this review at my husband's request. My husband had prostate cancer two years ago, along with radiation to treat it. He couldn't get an erection at all. He's tried Viagra, which worked at first, but doesn't anymore) and also Cialis. Although we've been married for 33 years, I just turned 50 and my husband is 58. Too young to never have sex again. We have tried many things, when I came across this with a review from another man who had prostate cancer.
I am lucky in that my husband is willing to try and fix this, instead of ignoring it. He can't take testosterone because of the cancer, and we are waiting for his urologist appointment where he may be prescribed Trimix.
This product is amazing. I read about penis pumps during my research. If it prescribed by a doctor, you're looking at $300 to $600 dollars. I wanted something we could try out before buying an expensive devise that might not work. The first time he used it, we didn't really expect anything. Almost instantly, he got an erection that could penetrate. It didn't last long, but it was the first time in years, and the short time was amazing. It was like we had hope for the 1st time in so long.
We will continue to use this, and I hope it will get longer over time. We just started using this, but here is my take away so far...don't go past level one right away. We accidentally pressed the wrong button and it went to level 2. My husband said it felt like the device was trying to pull his penis off. It works better for us if you use the ring before you use the pump. With us, without the ring, it started deflating before he could get the ring on. Lotion, lotion, lotion!!! If you have Viagra or Cialis, use it about 30 minutes before, just in case they help. One thing I do is to clean it well after everytime. I don't want him to end up with an infection when we're finally seeing results. I wash all the accessories in soapy water, and I clean the base with peroxide. I think that after 5 times, I will wipe all of it with peroxide. This is probably the best $50.00 that I have ever spent!
